Mornings.

So I am typically late to work in the morning. Actual times vary day to day. Once in a blue moon, I get up super early and it's all good.

Well. Today was a late day. But it was also a early wakey day. So why was I late to work?

I felt compelled to season a steak and set it in a brine bath.

Weird right? And my hands smell like sesame oil, HOT!

1-800, whoa!

So I am sitting here, desperately trying to catch up on my receipts for 2008, so I can print out my expense report, so I can do my taxes, and you want to know what I am noticing?

I sent a lot of fucking flowers in 2008. And flowers are not cheap!

That, and I went to Bella Napoli.

A lot.

If you don't know what Bella is? Well, let's just say if you're not in KC, you're missing out.

Asian babies with computers, you can't help but smile.

Kind of all over the place...

So it's funny, I can't remember if I mentioned it here before or not, but turns out I maintain approximately 9-10 portals online... That's a little much. Whether it be MySpace, Facebook, my own sites... there's quite a few bouncing around.

I think I need to consolidate.

Hmmm. I'll keep you updated.

And in more adventures in cooking...

This is a little adventure in breakfast cooking. This little guys is stuffed with tomatoes, shitake mushrooms, proscuitto (sp?), white onion, cheese, spinach, siracha (sp?), and some other goodies.

You know you want one.

And if not, well, I guess that's cool too.

It it seemed so small, but strangely it was so touching...

So I play Powerball. A buck or two a week for a little hope and a little fun. Now before you trash talk, I know it's a idiot tax, but really you can't win if you don't play. And like I said, a buck or two a week for a little daydreaming and fun, why not?

Anyway, I was out with a few friends not too long ago, and I mentioned, "Send some good vibes this way, Powerball is tonight!!! If I win, everybody is getting out of debt!"

See if I ever won, I would get out of debt, get my family out of debt. I would make sure me and my family were taken care of. Of course, buy something stupid. And the rest? Well, it's the this last part that this blog is all about. The last part, I would get all my friends out of debt.

And that last confession, see, the person I was talking to, a person I feel very lucky to have as a friend, he simply replied, "You know, out of all my friends, I think you're the only one who would actually do that."

And that really meant a lot. That simple statement. I don't know why, but it really was very touching.

So Powerball is tomorrow night boys and girls, send some good vibes this way, I got people with debt that needs payin'!

Well there's this kid on YouTube named, Sexxman, and he's got a beef with 50 Cent. All I have to say is, AMAZING!

Shepard Fairy Can't Seem to Get a Break...

You know the image, maybe you heard that Fairy was accused of copyright infringement by the Associated Press. Reportedly he was forced to admit that the famous image was based on a AP photo of Obama.

If he's convicted of that, he could face 3 years in prison.

Now, he was arrested in Boston when he was on his way to the Institute of Contemporary Art to kickoff a solo exhibition. Supposedly the charges were based on damaging property with graffiti in several locations, and warrants were issued on Jan.24th.

Nothing was stated as to what the instances of vandalism were, but it's safe to say the man can't seem to get a break.

And in regards to the charges by the Associated Press, get over it. He didn't profit from the run, all the money went to Obama's campaign. The image inspired a nation. AND if he did use the photo, it was used as reference, is it really considered copyright infringement when you don't actually use the physical photo?

ARGHHHHH!

So whatever your passion is, at one point or another I'm sure you get blocked. You know, like Writer's Block, just whatever is being blocked is your current passion in life. So here I am, struggling, being blocked. And sometimes, just sometimes, I feel like a hack when I get like this.

As far as what I feel like a hack about... well, you don't get to hear that.
