So it's the tail end of the workday, about to head off to league bowling. But as I wind down the day, Almost Famous: Untitled is playing on the computer. And a really great scene just played, the one where William sees Penny "Lady" Lane off at the airport. And as she sits on the plane, she remembers the night before, how she almost died, and how William told her he loved her. She looks back, and there he is chasing the plane, waving goodbye.
Such a great moment, and I am reminded how much I enjoy Cameron Crowe's movies. How emersive each one of hihs movies are. And how with film he grows as a storyteller.
That is until Elizabethtown.
Cute movie. But he definitely took three steps back in the quality of his work.
That's it really.
Off to bowl.
