Que?

So I am playing XBOX Live right now, specifically a game called Gears of War... and yes, the sheer geek factor that I am playing a game online and blogging at the same time is not lost upon me. But yea, XBOX, here's the thing... everyone, and mean EVERYONE on my team is Spanish... not that that is bad perse... just that it is becoming more and more appearent that they ONLY speak Spanish.

Safe to say, when the team breaks... not really sure what is going on.

Fuck this I am going to bed.

PS
Did I mention it snowed a shit ton in KC today?

Karma...

So here's the thing. Played a small joke on a friend today, she was worried I was offended by a mutual friends potentially racial comments. We (the mutual friend and I) went back and was all, "I was totally offended"...

...yea, karma is a bitch.

Tonight was my league bowling night. And there this one guy in the league. I really obnoxious guy, loud, you know the type. Anyway, I'm about the bowling my first frame, and he yells behind me, "EAT SHIT!". Not to be mean, he genuinely finds the behavior funny. But here's the rub, he said it in a very stereotypical Asian immigrant voice.

The combination of the two pissed me off on so many different levels, and yes, I was offended.

I mean seriously, you don't know me well enough to be playing the race card around me. And on top of that to act in a fashion that's, well, not funny.

But I played the idea of a Model Minority to a T. Didn't make a fuss, and let it go.

He did end up asking why I was pissed at him, I told him. He didn't realize how his behaivor was being precieved and appologized.

So that was that.

But yea, Karma. So kids, sometimes it dosen't pay to play jokes.

James Blunt...

So this blog may make me a total girl (no offense to the ladies), but whatever, I'm putting this shit out into the world. So I make no claim that I got sweet taste in music... which though, who decides that? You know, what is good? Whatever. Anyway, no claim that I got sweet taste. Anyway, I was watching the Today Show this morning, and the musical guest was some dude named James Blunt (awesome last name btw). And the song he performed was Goodbye My Lover ... man, less about the song, but the man was putting out some serious feelings when he was belting his jam. Some serious emoting was happening up in this peice. Definitely like that one was about someone close. All I could think was "yo". Too bad he was on the Today Show, Lester [insert last name here] kept cutting him off, and asking dumb questions when Blunt was saying something like how he felt performing for the troops in Kozovo, after serving in the military in that area. Seriously, how do you cut someone off when they're talking about shit like that? Serious. Anyway, that was the thought of the day. Work has been cool today, I spent it drawing. Really can you complain when you've spent your day drawing for work? Yea, I didn't think so either. Anyway, got bowling tonight... not sure if I will join the league next season... maybe. We'll see. Anyways, hope all of your days are going well... I guess I will get back to work.

Not that bad...

It was really weird, Black Friday was not all that bad today. Hit the mall, hit Best Buy, that was about it. But man, let me tell you, nothing like a sale to bring your most inactive person out into the world. I mean, DAMN! But whoa, Best Buy totally smelled like a dirty diaper.

But that was it really. Went out to get a camcorder and a digital camera, but both deals were gone by the time I got there. And I thought I got there early.

Surburbanites love their sales.

Well, here's to you employees of retailers, looks like your day won't be too crazy.

Thanksgiving!

Well the dinner was a big success! I mean, no one showed, just Kate and I. But the turkey was flippin' awesome. I'll say it, I rock. But seriously folks, I was kinda of glad people who said they would come out didn't. I really enjoyed having last night just be with Kate and I.

But yea people, seriously, if you have friends alone on the holidays... don't throw a dinner, they'll just cancel.

To be fair, one couple called like they said they would, but I was enjoying the dinner for two too much.

But yea, have pictures of the bird. I'm sure I'll get around to posting them. But at the moment, I am off to do a little Black Friday shopping. See how much of my holiday shopping I can knock out.

Hope all of you are having a great weekend!

Thoughts before bed.

- 2 cocktails at lunch make for a wicked headache if you get pissy at work.

- You know you have a problem when you regularly have cocktails at lunch.

- You can't help but love you're partner when she buys you a sweet ass chef's knife when she knows you love to cook.

- Can I knife make a meal better, I'm gonna find out.

- I miss being excited about the work I do. I hope to find that again.

- Trust is earned, not given. Be careful to whom you bestow that privilage.

- It's good to have dreams, goals, don't let anyone tell you different.

- I look forward to having 4 days off from everything.

- I kinda want a cocktail right now.

- More and more I realize I am not a fan of politics (national, local, office, etc, dosen't matter)

- I am going to miss my 10 year high school reunion this weekend. Is that a bad thing?

- I hate mortgages.

- I hate HOA dues.

- I hate Cingular.

- Did I mention I want a cocktail?

Well I am off to bed. Happy Thankgiving! If you need to know what I am thankful for. My family, my girlfriend, and my friends.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS, I'M OUT!

I like the taste of my foot.

So I am at the fabulous Super Target, picking up a turkey and some other bits. But I'm wandering the asiles and I couldn't find the stupid stuffing.

Anyway, I see a sales clerk and ask, "Excuse me, can you point me to the stuffing?". He's all, "yea, it's at the end of this asile." And I commented, "I am so blind..."

Can you see where this is going?

As friendly as can be he tells me, "you can't be any blinder then me." And I was totally confused by that. But then he starts showing me all of this portable equipment. And he asks me, "Do you know what this is?"

"No" I say. "Oh, well this helps me see." Then he reached for a device that looked like that thing a Doctor uses to look in your ear... only on steriods, "And this one helps me too, I use it when I bend down."

And I realize this man is blind, or close to. He was very sweet about it all, but definitely I felt like a ass.

And I am off...

So I am off this morning to the St. Louis area today, away for the weekend. Why you ask, well, spending the weekend with the girlfriend and her family. By no means bad, but definitely will be interesting to be sure. Kinda like the Korean Mom meeting the white girlfriend... just the dyslexic version.

Anyways, I'm off! Kids have a safe weekend!

So I might have a problem...

It's the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday and all I can think about is how much I want a soda right now.

But several variables stand in my way. I live in the city, so not a lot of markets around. There's a Osco down the street, but it's closed today, as with any market nearby really. Just Osco (a drug store if you didn't know) is like a block away, so that would be the obvious choice.

I suppose I could get in the car and go to the store... but that seems like too much effort for some corn syrup.

There is always the option of ordering a pizza, just to have some Dew delivered. As sad as that is, it's an offense I have committed before.

Yes Ladies and Gentlemen, I redefine a Lazy Sunday.

In other news, I have been EXTREMELY irritable lately. I can't explain it. I've been losing my temper more and more... or I would hold my temper in, but that just makes me more irritable. Just an angry, angry man lately... but what are you gonna do? really.

Been sore as hell lately. Saw a band called the Zeros on Thursday. Sweet ass cover band... but I couldn't stop dancing. A few swings, tosses, and splits on concrete has left this cat a little sore this weekend.

Anyways. Just a shit ton to get done... last week was definitely a busy social week. Busier then it's been in some time. Just fell behind in the rest of my life. So it's catch-up time.

Anyways, hope you kids are doing well. Later.
