Now, if you'll permit me a moment to geek out...

So some of you may not know, but during the Writer's Strike, fan-favorite Joss Whedon (Firefly, Serenity, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel) wrote a musical with his brothers Zack and Jed, and Jed's fiance Maurissa.

As for the story and cast well, “It’s the story of a low-rent super-villain, the hero who keeps beating him up, and the cute girl from the laundromat he’s too shy to talk to.” says Whedon.

Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog will star Neil Patrick Harris as Dr. Horrible, Nathan Fillion as Captain Hammer, Felicia Day as Penny and a cast of dozens.”

The intent was to always have this as a web musical, and finally dates have been announced. Doctor Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog will air in three 10-minute segments on drhorrible.com on the following dates:

1st Episode 15 July
2nd Episode 17 July
3rd Episode 19 July
